03:10 am - The Three Main Characters So yes, in between real life situations and real meaningful goals....I have been very slowly writing my little Harry Potter based fan fiction. It has been very hard. It is amazing, it should work considering how much information J.K. has put out about her wizard world. However, not only do I have to abide by its rules, but I am also filling in the gaps and writing in new material to fit in. Very slowly, its coming together and I am enjoying it so far. Right now, I am working out the more fine details in my 4th outline of the entire story and the last characters I am writing about (and giving names to) are the Teachers and Faculty. Obviously, I cannot have a story without a main character. Or in the tradition of the Harry Potter myth...a trio... Jerry Gawain Sex: Male Age: Starts 11 - Ends 17 Height: Caps at 5'11" Parentage: Father - Sulay Lot Gawain, Mother - Anna-Morgause Gawain Enrollment: Franklin Elementary School, Salem Witch Institute of Advanced Magical Learning Living Location: South Egg, New Jersey. 169 Vanderburgh Ave Appearance: One half inch higher than the average American male. Has brownish blond hair that always seems to be combed with steel gray eyes. Has a fair face with a round jaw that gets slightly squared over time. Has a button like nose and thin eyebrows. Average body type with a little round belly but well defined upper chest muscles. Arms slightly long and lanky. Long fingers and thin wrists, often gets joked about having "girl hands". Feet are slightly bigger than average and has a peppy walk with a heavy plotting run due to a running accident in elementary school. One of his hands has its life line broken in three places, an unusual trait for a person to have. Background Bio: Jerry was born in Providence, Rhrode island on April 23, 1980 at the New Hope Hospital. His parents, both working wizards in their own right, decided to keep the magical world from Jerry, wishing him a much normal life especially during the dark times of Voldemort's reign. He received a normal education and had normal muggle friends. All his relatives made a pack with Sulay and Anna to not to tell the boy anything until he "was old enough", something his Uncle Mordred almost violated, sparking interest in young Jerry. The first sign that Jerry was a magical child was when he telekineticly moved the cookie jar across the table and crashed it all over the floor. His parents told him it was rats and Jerry while doubting, trusted his parents more than anything. Recently, his parents have been having more fights than usual over the future prospect of their son's continuing education. It is soon when he finds out what he is and gets thrusted into one hell of an adventure for the next 7 years. Personality: Growing up in a muggle world with no knowledge of the Magical World has affected most of his principle outlook on life. With out the convene of magic, Jerry was forced by his parents to work hard at what he does and to make choices in his life without hesitation. His thought is that when a situation comes up to tackle it first and work out the solution until the task is done and/or the problem is solved. Jerry was often secluded from his other classmates and never really had any friends outside of Sam. Because of this Jerry is a little recessive, often thinking internally which sometimes leaves him feeling depressed. This introverted nature also makes him more prone to fits of rage and frustration which sometimes lash out at the wrong times in the worst ways. While his father often taught Jerry skills, his mother cemented values into Jerry such as doing what has to be done and constantly putting other's problems over one's own needs. Jerry's perception of humor more lies within the irony of the situation rather than a clear cut out joke. Skills: Being raised full Muggle, Jerry knows many skills by hand such as cooking, yard work, and camping. When Jerry learns about Magic, Jerry's best skill is in charm work and mixing potions. Not very thrilled for sports, Jerry enrolls in a local Ninshen club, a Japanese magical art in which you burn images onto objects. In Jerry's case, on the TV screen. He only has a minor interest in Wizarding Chest and does not like Exploding Snap because loud noises disturb him. Jerry's best known spells are Confringo (causes things to explode) and the Duro hex (turns its target into stone). In Jerry's Third Year, his wand is made of Willow with a core of Thestral tail bone, is very ridged with no defects, and is 10 1/2 inches in length. Favorite Subjects: Charms, Potions, History of Magic, Dark Arts Defense Least Favorite: Transfiguration, Magizoology, Numerology, Quadpot Sam Sobek Sex: Male Age: Starts 11 - Ends 17 Height: Caps at 6'"5 Parentage: Father - Mark Sobek, Mother - Shadantee Sobek Enrollment: Jefferson Elementary, Franklin Elementary, Salem Witch Institute of Advanced Magical Learning Living Location: South Egg, New Jersey. 238 Wart Street Appearance: Third tallest kid in his age group. Has jet black hair that is matted like sheep's wool. Has hazel eyes that are so striking against his brown skin that "Hazel" or "Haze" has been one of his many nick names. Has a very long face with square jaw even at 11 years old, with a flat turtle nose and a short forehead. When he turns 12 he starts growing a gote and more predominate side burns. Has long muscular arms with very long fingers. His wears an abnormally large size 13 shoes, causing him to have most of his shoes imported. This is often a but of many jokes about him. Has strong athletic legs and is the muscle of the wizarding class. Has a an appendic scar due to an appendicitis operation he had when he was younger. Background Bio: Sam was born to two muggles in South Carolina on November 3rd 1980. Sam only saw his father on the weekend when he was not working and had to mostly live with his paranoid mother. After a few incidences which would be proven magical later on, Shadantee took him repeatedly to a doctor and a shrink to be examined and increased their church time to dispel anything wrong with her eldest child. She hopes that one day he will grow up to be an important figure in society, while his father just wants his son to be happy and more well off than he is. Sam has a younger brother name Sheal that while one year younger, they look ages apart. Sheal's erratic and strange behavior often drives his brother crazy. He has been best friends with Jerry since the 3rd Grade when they moved into South Egg after many job relocations. Personality: Sam is very cool and collected. He always manages to find the positive in any situation no matter how bleak. The only person who can ever break Sam's calm demeanor is his brother Sheal for whom he has a (sometimes brutal) love-hate relationship with. Sam is highly independent and loves to go into adventures or anything that sounds risky head on, sometimes without thinking. Despite being described as a jock, he is actually one of the smarter students in the class and preforms well at both the muggle school and at Salem Witch. His best love is any sport with high speeds and quick reflexes. His muggle game that he also plays privet with Jerry is Basketball, but once introduced into the magical world he becomes one of the best and most active Quadpot players in North America. Sam often has an affinity for anything made out of metal and can often be found rubbing something metallic between his fingers or touching metallic surfaces. Skills: Since he loves things fast and quick, he becomes a very accomplshed broom flyer and Quadpot player at school. He also loves to learn new magical spells, often showing off, and practicing spells until he can get them right automatically without thinking. He also has a love for words, but more of writing it than reading it. He also is one of the class clowns in the class, often making smart remarks and one hits jokes when trying to assess difficult or odd situations. His favorite casual game is Exploding Snap because of the unpredictability and is part of the Qudditch is for Pansies Union. The spells he is best at casting is Langlock. In his third year, he gets his wand and it is made out of Reed with Dragons Heart String, has a waxy surface with a thick base, and is 12 1/3rd inches long. Later on he adds a metal trinket to his wand to personalize it and to add some sort of metal to it. Favorite Subjects: Transfiguration, Herbology, Dark Arts Defense Least Favorite: Divination, Potions, Astronomy, L.E.A.N., Magizoology Levei Aubrey Sex: Female Age: Starts 13 - Ends 19 Height: Caps at 5'5" Parentage: Currently Unknown Enrollment: Oswald Owl Studies Clinic, Crowley School of Magic Elementals, Salem Witch Institute of Advanced Magical Learning Living Location: Township of Orovada, Black Rock Desert Nevada Appearance: A very slim girl, she is a brunette with mid length hair that she sometimes makes into a lop sides ponytail. Later on in her 5th year she ops out for a Chelsea haircut. She has freckles on her shoulders and neck, with a large mole on her right ankle. Her nose is pointy with thin lips and a very slight tan. While she is suppose to have blue eyes, she has a condition called Aniridia which makes here eyes look like giant black pools. Her arms are toned and muscular without over doing it. She rarely wears a skirt because she does not like the way her knees bend. She has a huge fascination with shoes of the Converse or Renaissance variety. She has a small scare on her nose that while barely noticeable she covers up with make up and has a fondness for light eyeshadow. Background Bio: Levei was born on March 30th, 1978 in some location in Canada. He parents then moved to America in 1982, the reasons and details are unknown. She has grown up full well of what the Magical World is with one of her parents working at the North American Wizbank and another as an Owl Scout. She took interested in Owl scouting early, developing a love for them as well as for nature in general. She enrolled at Salem Witch Institute in 1989 but was left back for 2 years supposedly due to failing grades and SWI's "three jinxed" policy regarding students. At the start of this story, this will be her 3rd year in her 1st year and she will find out many shocking things about herself and her history that she has not known before. Personality: Levei is very fond of creatures and is a self proclaimed pacifist, avoiding harmful confrontation when ever possible. She is often seen as a outcast due to her age and interest, one of them being a constant reader of The Quibbler from the Europe. She often draws and doodles in her notebook and takes up artistic skills when ever she can. Her voice is slightly squeaky so she is often embarrassed to talk in front of people and does not take well if she feels like she is being put on spotlight. Levei is also know as a klutz and that "her hands are perminatly jinxed, never give her anything to hold!" Because of her loneliness, she is very loyal to anyone she considers a friend and is often known even to the most bitter students as "a shoulder to cry on". Her ambition is to become a Healer and enroll into the Nostradam Wizarding Academy in Naples. Skills: She loves mathematics and is fascinated with how Muggles work without the use of magic. She is very good at drawing things and has very clear and need handwriting, and is often seen writing poetry in her spare time. She is part of a club known as SPEW-America, and extension oversees of the European movement that only currently has 5 members besides herself. Her best spell is the Patronus Charm which is a Dolphin. She gets her wand in her second year for services to the school and it is made out of Alder with a core of a Hippogriff's tail feather, has a long groove on the left side of it, and is 8 inches in length. Favorite Subjects: Divination, Transfiguration, Astronomy, Magizoology, Arithmancy, Muggle Studies Least Favorites: History of Magic, Charms, I will post more of my stuff from time to time, however I must say this. I will not post any known major villains, nor is all the info about all the characters are here. I will say this, giving all the details would ruin the story and there are though all seven fan-fics two constant and very evil villains. -- Jordan Current Mood: accomplished
