Good News and Bad News

The Bad News: I am horribly sick with fever and flu. This morning my nose bleed like no tomorrow. Going to lie down after this post.

The Good News:

<lj-embed id="290" />

I came.

More stuff after I'm done being in a coma.

-- Jordan

A Very Short Movie Review

I know I have lots of stuff to update, including various protests and my mother's recent injury. I will get to that shortly.

However, I just wanted to share something with you all. I've seen the work print of Wolverine, everyone has. There is an entire group out there who hates News Corp and thus the bootleg was passed around like a 25 cent whore.

So, without further adieu, I shall spoil the movie for you all:

<lj-embed id="289" />

Have fun!

-- Jordan

One of the many, MANY reasons why I don't Vote or watch "Real News".

I always get picked on shit because everyone wants simple stupid answers even though life is not like that. Thus, because the News media likes to think like us to get money, politics and the news media turn every issue into a "yes" or "no" question. This is exactly why the founding fathers wanted a multiparty system, because once the extremest run the show, everyone is fucked.

Left. Right. Liberal. Conservative. Republican. Democrat.

Newsflash!

It does not MEAN A DAMN THING!

As long as you are voting people who want power into office, giving money to corporations and doing what these greedy people want, they do not CARE what your opinions are. All they want to do is to tell you what YOU want to here so they can keep their money and squishy desk job.

And they are willing to blow cock and change faces to do it.

In short, this EXACTLY is one of the many reasons why it's useless to pander to these labels:

The Daily Show With Jon Stewart

M - Th 11p / 10c

Nationwide Tax Protests

thedailyshow.com

<lj-embed id="287" />

Daily Show
Full Episodes

Economic Crisis

Political Humor

I'm an atheist and I have to say, god bless you John Stewart!

Even better, I get to see him on the Daily Show LIVE on my birthday too! :D

-- Jordan

Whats wrong with Children these days: Adults.

Ok, so as soon as I get back, I see this this new post from Pixi about the new bullshit Facebook policies. This was one of the people who replied to her:

"so much drama about facebook. they had a whole thing on the news awhile back with women bitching that their pics were getting deleted because they were pics of them nursing their babies.

i sided with facebook. they didn't delete nursing photos, they deleted ones where there were bare breasts, and i don't have a problem with that. i don't care if you're nursing, i wouldn't want my 14 year old kid browsing through facebook and seeing your tits hanging out. just because you're nursing doesn't mean they're no longer boobs. put them away and save it for your personal emails.

i personally don't like facebook, but. eh. their user agreement isn't really any diff from myspace or anyone else's. not that i spend a lot of time reading those things anyway, but."

...

WHAT!?!

My responce:

"I think the kid has seen way more than bare breast at 14. I think if you are still shielding him at that age he is actually going to develop into more problems, potentially become a man child and start editing Encyclopedia Dramatica."

So then...naturally...I get an ear full:

*my* kid won't have. nothing pisses me off more than these little kids (13, 14, 15) being sexually active and worrying about pregnancy and whatnot. except maybe the 19 year olds with two or three kids already. they piss me off slightly more.

just because by age fourteen he or she might have seen a playboy some other kid brought to school or whatever doesn't mean it's appropriate for their parents to let them do whatever they want and be exposed to all sorts of sexual things.

a 14 year old is still a child. and should be more worried about riding their bike or seeing a movie, than with thinking about sex.

and my child won't be editing encyclopedia dramatica, because unlike most of these parents, i actually intend to be involved enough in my child's life to know what they're doing on the internet.

it's not about "shielding", it's about letting kids be kids. they should be thinking about school, an after school job, college, friends, concerts. not drugs, sex, or alcohol.

Ok...um...

I could go on about how at 14 is the half way point for sexual maturity that starts when you are 10-12 years old. That in children, especially males, their sex drive will turn on and they will hunt for sexual things whether you approve it or not. Which also means if they are informed about sex or not. Or how because of this whole "lets not expose them because they are kids" mentality kids are making ill decisions about sex, thus higher teen pregnancy and bigger breakouts of STDs. Or that how embarrassing would it be for that 18 year old guy who meets up with a woman who was properly exposed to sex at a young age, who then makes the guy cry because he looks like an inexperienced moron when it comes to the sack, scaring him for life.

Instead, I can thank The Onion once again for speaking my overly sarcastic mind:

<lj-embed id="285" />
Study: Children Exposed To Pornography May Expect Sex To Be Enjoyable

-- Jordan

Because sometimes, I'm greedy...

Ok now that my blood pressure has returned to normal (no that was not an April Fools Day prank) and I cannot sleep, I would like to post something I have been meaning to for awhile.

Its April again and things get busy. I am so happy many things are going on in April from protests to parties and even major religious events. A few bad things in the world sadly, but overall nothing is boring.

I have been working on a small adventure game I hope to have something to show for by May and am writing my Burlesqki play. But one big event remains...

My birthday is on the 23rd and I will be 22. Yes, after that day the only next significant birthday in my life is when I get discounts and AARP at 55.

So, because of that I am going to celebrate. There will be a local NJ celebration with my family and friends the day before. During my birthday, I will head into NYC with Alex and see some sights, and then we are going to the taping of that day's The Daily Show with John Stweart. After Alex and I will eat out somewhere while my Mom goes home, so far, it looks like the Dave and Busters will be our choice if anyone cannot come up with something better.

Again this year, not because I demand people things but it's so I do not forget, here are some birthday items I wish I could get or will try to buy myself on my birthday.

1) Black Nintendo DSi

http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-DSi-Matte-Black-DS/dp/B001T8W2LW/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1238745459&sr=8-1

2) The Dark Knight DVD

http://www.amazon.com/Knight-Limited-exclusive-Packaging-Featurette/dp/B001NFTZPM/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1238745353&sr=1-5

3) Wall-E

http://www.amazon.com/Wall-E-Three-Disc-Special-Digital-Copy/dp/B001EOQWEO/ref=pd_bxgy_d_img_a

4) Deadly Creatures

http://www.amazon.com/Deadly-Creatures-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B00163ROMC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1238746074&sr=1-1

5) Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes

http://www.amazon.com/Metal-Gear-Solid-Snakes-game-cube/dp/B0000A09EN/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1238745858&sr=1-1

6) Monster's Lab

http://www.amazon.com/Monster-Lab-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B0013RATO6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1238746276&sr=8-1

7) Sold

http://www.amazon.com/Sold-Patricia-McCormick/dp/0786851724/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1238746193&sr=8-1

8) Kick Ass "Peace" T-Shirt

http://www.emmasrevolution.com/shop/product/detail/1/

9) Will Fix Computer for Brains T-Shirt

http://www.jinx.com/scripts/details.asp?affid=-1&productID=697

10) Time For A Drink Wall Clock

http://www.cafepress.com/illwillpress.157265308

And of course, since I do not expect anyone to get me anything, the best thing ever is gift cards. Either Barn's & Nobel or Nintendo/Wii Points. Expecially Nintendo/Wii Points. I want so many WiiWare games like Megaman 9, Lost Winds, Bomberman Blast, LIT, Bit Trip Beat, Onslaught and World of Good...yea I want so many WiiWare things. :)

-- Jordan

A Story from My Head

I have been thinking about one of my favorite franchises a lot lately and in order to restore my previous way of thinking, I have decided to write out this story as a form of memory therapy. I can also use this space to spruce up my writing skills.

Silent Hill: Inferno

In the fire house of north Brahms, a black man makes a call on the fire house's many office phones.

"Yo Flanagan!" the black man says after two and a half rings on the phone.

"Eddy?! On break again right?" the man named Flanagan replies.

"Yup. We have been mainly doing drills. I cannot remember the last time there was a fire anywhere in or near town. How is things at the precinct?" replies fireman Eddy.

"Busy as always. We are still trying to crack down on the influx of White Dahlia. We think we know where they are manufacturing the stuff but we need more of an investigation."

"Ah, I see." Eddy twirls the line on the cord to the phone. "Well at least you are doing work. No fires makes Eddy a dull boy."

"You mean a dull MAN Eddy. I have it circled in red right here, two more days and we've hit your birthday Ed!"

Eddy rolls his eyes as another fireman passes him with hot coffee.

"Please do not bring that up-"

"You know I never got why you try to go all Jehovah Witness on your birthday? I mean who does not want to get presents and friends on a special day, especially at our age!"

Eddy taps nervously on the desk and draws a big breath. "It's not that I do not like free gifts, its just that birthdays are now just a reminder of how old I am getting, that's all."

"Hello?" another man says over the phone.

Eddy eyes dart around like he is looking in his mind a record of the face to match the electronic voice. "Chen? How the-"

"New phones", exclaims Flanagan. "We have conference on them now, I was talking to Poindexter on my break before you called in. Now we can all talk together."

"Just like the good old days...even the insults have also seemingly returned." says Chen sarcastically.

"You know I realized how we have been so busy that we rarely have time to hang together anymore", exclaims Eddy, a slight depression overwhelms him.

"And this is why your birthday is gonna be a big day! We can ride around, go see some broads and hang out at our pact place over by the lake like in old times!"

"I just-"

"You just what?" Chen says flatly.

"I just do not feel like we should celebrate that I am getting older."

"Why not? Come on man, spit it out." pushes Flanagan.

"Firefighting has been my entire life guys. You all know that, we all worked for what we have achieved so far. However, I am afraid that I will get too old and the red house is going to force me to retire so I will not become a liability."

"Great, not this again", exclaims Chen. "Look, even God had to rest after six days of work Mr. Payton. Besides, in my opinion, you have had the best life out of all of us."

"Yea man! I mean you have still been married all this time, amazing woman you managed to find there. You have a son who is all grown up in law. Hell you even have a house with that classic white picket fence! You should be happy ya old fart!"

"Hay, why is all the pressure always on me?" states Eddy.

"Your a fireman Mr. Payton. Should you not be use to pressure?" sarcastically states Chen.

"Wow, things do change, your actually trying to make jokes this time", Eddy states while laughing.

All three of them begin to laugh over the phone when the phone violent beeps over the other line.

"That's the emergency line, call you guys later tonight!" Flanagan barks into his headset.

"Bye Mr. Payt-"

The line is cut off as Eddy is left sitting alone at the desk near the red fire house phone holding a dead end receiver. Eddy, thinking about his upcoming birthday, slowly rests the hand set back onto the hook.

"RRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGgggggggggggg!!!!!!!"

The fire alarm bell went off, it's siren piercing the dry afternoon air of the building as fire men scramble around on all floors getting their gear in order.

Eddy kick back out of his chair and rushes to one of the poles, sliding down and running into the suit locker room. He uses the pulleys to lower his suit, his hands going by refined pre-programmed reflex from all his training throughout his long service. He suits up in a matter of seconds, boots, oxygen tank and all.

As he put's his helmet on, he sees a flash of the large photo of him with his family stashed underneath the frontal lobe area. He secures it onto his head, hoping that like all the other times his helmet will allow him to survive this time to see the people in the photos again.

He scrambles with the rest of his team near the rear of the fire truck, boarding it as it zooms off like a out of control freight train to it's final destination. The radio cackles wildly, the voices on it speak fast as if the radio was an oracle speaking in tongues trying to comprehend the delusions from what it is envisioning. The Fire Chief acts as it's translator, telling them as the wind pulverizes their face that a basement fire broke out in Central Silent Hill and now is spreading through out the wooden town.

"I KNEW AMISH TOWN WOULD GET FUCKED OVER SOON, WITH THE DRUGS AND ALL THAT SHIT!" a fireman named Rodger yells.

"WE HAVE LOST COMMUNICATIONS TO THE POLICE, NO IDEA HOW BIG THE FIRE IS! LAST TRANSMISSION SAID IT'S PRETTY FUCKING BIG SO STAY ON YOUR TOES BOYS!" shouts the Fire Chief.

Eddy can see in the distance a massive swarm black cloud overhead, hoping that maybe the rain will help put the fire out. Quickly though as the truck speeds faster into the town does he and the rest of his crew realizes that they are not clouds but smoke.

"HOLY FUCKING SHIT!! HOLY SHIT! FUCKING HOLY SHIT FUCK!!!!"

The crew stairs in fear as they see what Central Silent Hill has become. Orange light dances all over their bodysuits and reflects off their helmets as they find many of the buildings already engulfed in flames. The heat kicks them in the face, Eddy feels like they are in the heart of one of those buildings when they are simply outside yards away.

They pull up to the main burning sight. Two more fire trucks pull in behind them. Eddy and the crew snap out of it and begin with instinct to fight the fire.

"SHIT IS A FUCKING LAKE OF FIRE!!!"

"IS BACK UP COMING!?! NO WAY WE CAN CONTROL THIS INFERNO!"

"YES IT'S COMING! WE HAVE TO DO WHAT WE CAN!"

"DO WHAT!?! THIS IS OUT OF CONTROL!!"

Eddy helps his men wield one of the hoses trying to put out two buildings. They manage to subdue the upper floor until the water pressure suddenly dips down.

The crew look over to see the fire spilling out into the streets, the fire hydrant they were using has PARTIALLY MELTED causing the hose to malfunction.

"GET THAT HOSE OFF OF THERE!" Eddy yells into the night, hoping his voice is not lost as it becomes one with the mass fire sirens wailing around him. The men around him try to remove the hose from the hydrant but as their hands burn they realize this is futile, the hose has fused to the hydrant due to the heat.

Eddy's heart races but he cannot feel it pounding in his ribcage, caught up in the chaos around him. He feels like they have bitten off more than they could chose trying to fight this inferno.

Suddenly he hears one of his men screaming at him.

"EDDY, CAN YOU HEAR ME!?!"

He turns and faces the Fire Chief.

"EDDY PAYTON REPORTING SIR!" he screams.

"FOLLOW DELTA PLATOON INTO OLD SILENT FOR PREVENTION AND S&R!! THERE IS NO TIME!!"

"HAULING ASS SIR!" Eddy screams as he runs with the group of other men of the Delta Platoon.

Eddy and the new group of firemen make it away from the main fires and down to building that have just caught on fire with teams trying to control the spread. He weaves through the chaos like a snake maneuvering through rocky terrain and follow the squad inside one of the buildings.

He teams up with Rickman and Morris, two men he knows from the Silent Hill fire department division having spent a few department picnics with them and their families. Eddy trusts these men, they know what they are doing, but in the back of his mind hammering against his skull that all the skill in the world will not be enough to survive this mess.

"What the hell could have caused this kind of fire!?" He has seen electrical fires and storage facilities get engulf in flames but not spread from building to building. Not like this.

They reach to a very hot and partly burning living room and sees a man in a robe struggling with flame, apparently in his panic forgetting how to stop drop and roll. The three man team uses their extinguishes to kill the man's burning and Eddy puts a fire blanket over the man. As he is getting dragged away the man blurts out.

"Child! Th-There is a child down there!" He coughs up as he as well as black soot mixed in with blood. "Trapped! Trapped! Could got get him out! Out! O-O-OUT!"

Eddy bolts off into the basement despite the other Morris screaming not to. He screams something else but the burning fire blots it out as Eddy storms down the basement steps.

He is confused as he sees a child struggling in the basement, the kid is in shock but is not burdened or trapped like the man said. Eddy uses instinct and grabs the child carrying him up the basement stairs. His spine is turning into glass and his bowls spin around in him like they are put into the blender as he races past the kitchen. Eddy holds his breath as he forces his oxygen tube into the child's mouth.

He runs past the living room but looses his footing as a tremor rockets the earth. Knowing what is about to happen, his heart strikes his ribcage like an anvil as he pushes through the rubble and out of the house as it burns down. He drops the kid just outside the truck and runs with the delta squad members. He then climes aboard the fire truck as they storm off, the fires put out...

Eddy is in wonder. The smut from the resulting from the kindling left over in Silent Hill has blanketed their horizon in a haze like fog. Eddy takes off his loose helmet, inspecting it as the strap has broken due to tonight's events. He stairs at the picture of his wife and then child as he rubs the raining ash into the waterfalls of sweat.

"I cannot wait to get home", Eddy thought. "To see you tonight baby. It felt like the end of the world tonight. The end of the world."

In the distance, he finds the soft hum of the truck oddly soothing as it takes him away from Silent Hill.

"RRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGgggggggggggg...."

End of Part One...

-- Jordan

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

Good News: We are going to get Lady back and got a reduced charge in the process.

Bad News: Madworld does not come out today. That is the shipping date, Gamestop will get it tomorrow morning. I want to punch a wall, especially if Alex gets it today.

Ugly News: I got two angry messages from my (I guess ex-friend) Foxx who is one of the head Bastard Sons of Dial-Up and has been to some of the 2600 meetings. You see there is this meme going around Facebook where you have a mass picture and you tag a bunch of people and while I think it's kind of lame I wanted to do it anyhow. So I decide to do a creative one where everyone was a person from the School of Philosopher's painting and I matched people according to their personalities and their own personal philosophies.

Most took it well. Unfortunately people became a too little talkative on the photo and...well just read these:

Seriously, stop sending em invites to stupid and pointless groups, and tagging me in pics that im not in. This is really pissing me off now. Must you be the absolute biggest social media whore on the internet? Really, its people like you that bring a shit reputation to something good... you drag everyting through the mud and ruin it for everyone else. You really need to think about why you do things instead of instinctively hype yourself to the world...

Friends are people you actually converse with, and spend time doing legitimate activities, not names on a list.

Sidepocket: Oh but it gets better!

First off, this is black and white text, so its not screaming. Your boredom is a poison to facebook, and the internet, much like the idiots that poison society with their drunken and asshole behavior. Having a drink, and sharing some funny pics over the net is one thing, spamming bullshit ans screaming like a drunkard asshole for no coherent reason is juvenile, immature, and the general reason most 'scenes' turn to shit. You claim to be an adult, meanwhile you pull this typical immature facebook boredom bullshit. Spamming people with nonsense is not my idea of having a good time.

Last 2600 I went to was a pure example of such jvinile poser bullshit behavior. Also, from what I have talked to you about homebrew and console stuff, I highly doubt you know a damn thing about it. You might read the newz sitez about it, but you dont seem to be in the thick of it. Im no super coder, and im no console hacker god, but I do what I can to make things progress when I can.

You really seem more like a person that wants to be a media hype sensation than anyone wanting to do anything meaningful. You try to focus on what looks cool in the scene, instead of start one. You should focus more on whats said, and not how its to be said... You dont want to put the right information in the wrong hands, trust me man, ive been there, and the end of the journey is not fun

I dont mind if you want to chat, but when I get 50 e-mails because you tagged me in a pic that doesnt even have me in it, its a bit annoying. You dont realize the shit I go through already with my 'celebrity' status. I keep myself low-key and underground, and by you putting my name on a pic across facebook caused a shitstorm of bullshit for me. I dont appreciate it. I also dont like having my picture taken without my permission, mainly because anyone can put whatever text under my face to declare me as something I am not. That goes for hacker media, parkour sessions, combat training, anything. If I am not in control of how I am being portrayed, then I want no part of it. Last thing I need is some news story about leet parkour haxx0rz looting apartment building roofs with my face on it (which is everything I stand against). In the end, editing magic can make you look like the next media sensation, or as ive seen in the hacking, parkour, and various other places ive explored.. make you look like a major fucking asshole. Hell, ive had people edit my phreaking segment to make a "Stealing fone callz from teh telco" on youtube, and bet your ass I pitched a fit.

Yea. Was not expecting that. Not to start and argument with the guy, he is a good guy but two questions:

1) I know that Foxx does not want social interaction but it seems he wants very little of it. I have met people like before on various social networks and they puzzle me. Why have a social site (or put anything on the internet for that matter) if you do not want to be noticed or talked too by everyone else on the interwebs? Seems kind of ass backwards for me, it would be like being an arachnophobic but me living in the jungles of South America. @,@;

2) NeoAmsterdam said this the best: "You asked to be notified. You were notified. Boo-fucking-hoo."

So yea, what a day...

...

LUNCH!!!

-- Jordan

Update on the Old Dog

Ok remember Lady, my Pit Bull that was arrested basically for being an old person?

Well, we got to see her today. Apparently she was taken to this Animal Control place out in Wyckoff area, the building was wedge far away back between two other buildings next to a do-it-yourself (that's illegal in NJ if I am correct) pump gas station for cops and some sort of mining facility. Oh and the two people that run the whole thing for FIVE TOWNS were on break so after the police notified them they showed up around 10 or 20 minutes later after we showed up.

But, she is fine. Although she was in no better condition then we left her in. She looked like she was in prison. My Mom warned me that they put a "jacket" on her, which we thought humorously-warily was like a strait jacket. It was more a sock, or more accurately: A pair of sweat pants that had one leg cut off and then they cut holes in the bottom for a dog's legs to fit through.

I'm just glad she is still alive and they have not killed her yet. Her dealings will be decided in court on Tuesday.

<lj-embed id="284" />
Lady at the Animal Control Center from Sidepocket on Vimeo.

She was so happy to see us and cried when we left even though I reassured her we will see her again after court. I know she must be thinking that like her past owners that we are putting her up for adoption or something.

Tomorrow I will do a media-embed filled post about all the stuff I have been doing since Halloween last year.

Oh and once again, wish me luck in court on the 10th. That way I can play Madworld without any problems!

-- Jordan

Homophobia is NOT a Real Phobia

Let me explain.

I am an Arachnophobic.

This means when I see spiders, I freak out. I just do not like them. The eight legs, the way they movie, the eyes, the hair, the fact that most bite and have a poison that can irritate your skin or even worse. I just hate everything about them.

You know when I go all insecticidal..when they are in my room. Or my bathroom in the shower area. If anything is in my personal space when I do not want them to be there I will go crazy.

However, I do not kill any that are in the rest of my house, I normally kick them out. And if they are outside my house, we can live in peace.

Now, here is the tricky part!

What you DON'T see me do is run around my entire neighborhood with shoes and raid trying to kill every spider I can find.

You DON'T see me trying to pass laws which state that spiders are a threat to American society and that they should be exterminated or be booted off our land.

And you certainly DO NOT see me poke around in some obscure religious text and try to find a passage that proves that Spiders are unhealthy for our society and have rallies with other religious people outside of arachnid showcases in zoos.

That kind of acting is NOT a phobia...IT'S PSYCHOTIC!

It's something you need to take pills for.

And I find it quite offensive as someone with a phobia to be lumped in with those people.

-- Jordan

A Part of My Soul Just Died For Real

Hi. I have been meaning to make an entry for awhile now. I wanted to tell you all about the coverage of the New York Times scam, my huge Comic Con article on GoNintendo and how awesome House of the Dead: Overkill is.

However, I can't right now because the state just took my dog, a member of my family that I take care of every waking moment in my life, away from me.

The people who came were total dicks. All I have been doing is slaving my way for my loves (they get more medically checked up than me, it has been near a decade since the last time I went to the doctor) and they were treating me like I hold dog fights in my back yard.

My only claim to fame is I stood my ground and I got to crush another police officer's psyche.

Pig: "Here is the court date info, I am going to take this one in and giving a warning to the other one. Technically, I COULD take all of them right now regardless of the condition they are in.

Me: Thank you for the verbal threat Officer I really appreciate it.

*pig's jaw drops and blanks out for a solid 20 second strait.

The cop then grilled me out and fully gave me legal threats, which I am glad because I rather let them be honest that they are a state gang than anything else. I left that one to be on the only condition that "your men stop trying to arrest me walking on the streets thinking I am on the Al-Quida watch list."

What worries me and what worries me since then, is that THE STATE CANNOT TAKE CARE OF THE DOGS! I know because we bought them 18 hours before they were going to be executed and that is back when they were healthy.

Because they are under state watch, I hope they do not execute them...

Wish me luck in court March 10th, which ironically the same day Madworld comes out.

-- Jordan

You Have No Idea How Much Cock I Had To Suck To Get Here!

I miss Whose Line Is It Anyway. (Title is from the show from Colin)

Anyhow, yes. I have done many things. Yes, my summary of November 2008 until now is coming. It has to do with part of laziness but most part is that my data problems on my machine have become so bad that completing things have become sllllooowwww. Thankfully, I was given an E-Machine that once I upgrade the ram should theoretically be more powerful than this one. And it has 50 gigs of C Drive, take that current measly 14 gigs on this computer!

Anyhow, I figure to start my first post of the new year that I should do something that I am reminded of every day:

Thanking all of you deadbeats, hookers and psychopaths who keep reading my shit. Without support from viewers like you, none of this diarrhea floating down the tubes would ever make it past the lotto balls.

sidepocket_pro's friendsCollage

<img alt="brad" If not, they may hire me to work there. I am poor so these are my options this year.

That and I get to see my beloved Uncle Bob who is awesome and I have not seen in forever.
Winter Solstice Begins!

Ah the winter holidays, every culture has one. Weather it is a Jewish kid being born in a barn, beating the snot out of the Seleucid Empire or some made up holiday for black people, everyone gets together and celebrates that it is cold as fuck outside.

I recently found a new holiday by the Humanists that while I do not entirely agree with their philosophy, find this holiday to be perfect for my tastes.

It's called Human Light and while it obviously needs a better name, the only problem with it is that it so far to my knowledge does not have a song. Even Hanukkah has that awful Dreidel song. So I did what I normally do best, I took a good tune from a crappy popular song ('O Christmas Tree) and made my own unofficial Human Light song.

*music test*

Human Light Song

'O Human Light,
You Shine so Bright.
Reflective of our inner light!

Today we humans thank and give,
Without the need for that Jewish kid.

'O Human Light,
You Shine so Bright.
Reflective of our inner light!

We thank Newton for Gravity,
And Einstein's Theory of Relativity.

'O Human Light,
You Shine so Bright.
Reflective of our inner light!

The Wright Brothers for Airline Flights,
And MLK for Civil Rights.

'O Human Light,
You Shine so Bright.
Reflective of our inner light!

In the future we forward look,
Like Gay Marriage legally in the books.

And Darfur's struggles they depend,
On us since we said "never again".

'O Human Light,
You Shine so Bright.
Reflective of our inner light!

Let's all sing joyously for world peace,
Which we extend to the Middle East.

'O Human Light,
You Shine so Bright.
Reflective of our inner light!

'O Human Light,
You Shine so Bright.
Reflective of our inner light!

'O Human Light you remind all thee,
That the world runs on Vox Populi!

(So we kick back and grab a beer,
Humanity survived another year!) -- Joke Line

Hope everyone is not too snowed in and if you live in a place where it is warm....fuck you.

-- Jordan

P.S. Yes, I am still working on that recap post. Now that my classes are done I can upload my Halloween photos to Flickr!

When Chump Change Niggers Beat Redneck Zombies

Sorry I do not have the Halloween entry yet, I have the pictures but I have to post this soon or I am going to puke.

So Obama won over McCain. Ok.

Yay, I guess?

I was in NYC crashing the Election Watch at New School, handing out fliers and messing with the video equipment to open people's minds and take the power back:

www.becausewewantit.org

So as I after going to WBAI to leave a note since I cannot be in on Off The Hook tomorrow and a beer mix called a "Snakebite" later, I could hear the screams from fucking China. As I walked down, tons and tons of black people were all jumping brooms and jivin' as the white people reveled in their lameness.

I felt like the Grinch on Christmas.

However, here is the thing that makes me feel better always this time of season.

When you are done praising your "savior", you will go home. He will pass a few bills, maybe repair some things. Maybe take some troops away, maybe?

He will then mostly show up around the world posing for photos.

The a biiiiig fuck up will happen. It always happens, even if the big fuck up is not doing anything outstanding and being totally forgettable policy wise.

Then more bad thing will happen.

Soon guess what is going to happen with your piece of paper?

Nothing.

Voting got us Hitler and Bush, Revolutions got us the very country we live on and rights for women and blacks.

Nobody will chose Revolution anymore.

And so people will continue to watch Opera as your life sucks every day.

You will be fired from your job, get sick numerous times. You will get robbed, raped, murder or know who does. You will get fucked out of your money by taxes. Your mate will have an affair with someone and leave you. The poor will remain poor and the rich get richer. We will still fight for dumb things like oil and the bible while we leave people we could be helping like Darfur dieing and leaving others to similar fates by choosing to do our thing instead of the right thing.

Osama will still be laughing at us and so will I.

People will die. Babies will be born. Life will go on this planet like it has for billions of years.

Then at the end of the day, you will end up at a bar. And in that bar at the end of the table, there will be a man with no fear. A man who sees the world and mother nature for what it is and nothing more.

The man they call the terrorist, the Anti-American, the heathen, the atheist, the Jew lover, the Furry, the abortionist, the pro-pot junkie, the loser, the gamer, the lamer, the Pollock Nigger and may other names.

That person...will be me.

And you will for a split second, before the end of the four years are up and you go to your little Republican Red Socks VS Democrat Yankees Super Bowl FIFA World Championship Hyper-Fucking-Riffic Olympics and wave flags with symbols with no meaning for people who will continue on this cycle I mention about...

And you will finally see, for once in your life, what I see.

Then we will clack drinks together and I will say:

"Welcome to the real world."

Or, as the man once said it:

<lj-embed id="282" />

<lj-embed id="283" />

-- Jordan

Public Service Annoucement :: Jim Is Missing

My friend Jim, who suffered a stroke last year, left on a day pass Thursday afternoon from the Brooklyn nursing home at which he is being treated. Details are still sparse, but it appears that he became separated from his traveling companion on the subway, and has not been seen or heard from since that day.

While Jim retains his mental faculties and can find his way around as well as anyone, he has great difficulty speaking and some difficulty walking. More importantly, he doesn’t have the daily medication and care he needs to prevent another stroke.

We believe he had around $180 on him at the time. An avid poker player, Jim had mentioned a desire to go to Atlantic City, and it’s possible that he headed there on his own despite his need for daily medical care and monitoring.

The NYPD has been alerted, but we need to make sure the word is spread and that people all over the region are keeping an eye out for him. 2600 have put together this flyer with a toll-free hotline for the reporting of any sightings or information. You can also email Off the Hook on his whereabouts. All help is greatly appreciated.

This is scaring the piss out of me because Jim was one the first person I met at my first 2600 meeting and was the only counterbalance with Villain. So I have a special place in my heart for him and worry deeply.

UPDATE -- We JUST got word that Jim came back to the nursing home on his own. He's been rushed to a hospital for evaluation. Thanks to everyone for their help on this. We'll have updates soon I hope.

-- Jordan

Experiment this year.

Previous farming experiment showed Rutherford soils was not suitable for farming, thus why it's land was used for housing. Further excavations revealed it had to do with poor top soil. Underneath top soil was rich leafy brown soil in which worms more than eight inches who were pure white via no sunlight were living.

Goal was to create a 4x4 foot garden by replacing top soil. Chosen experimental crops were Tomatoes and Cucumbers. Marigolds were planted to repel bad insects and a garden hose sprayer was erected for easy watering.

Crop growth of three to four feet in height, leaves spanning width of five inches.

Cucumber growth were one to two inches in diameter with range being eight to twelve inches in length. Tomatoes were bright red, fully formed and half were bigger than my fist aka an average sized baseball.

Total crops yield ranged thirty at lowest to fifty at highest units per day for five months, defects came later in life but only one out of eight would develop one if not picked immediately. Can be fixed.

Experiment :: Success

Next years plan: Make new adjacent 4x4 foot square with new topsoil, plant previous crops in new square and plan potatoes and corn in old square. Get NJ Farmers License and sell to Farmers Market, join Urban Farming league.

-- Jordan

I had a Dream...but it was only a Dream.

Remember when bad things happen in our world, and the people hated it.

We hated it and that hatred came up to the point were we could not stand by and let the evil go on. Where we could not take it anymore so what did we do? We put our foot down. We yelled back. We stood up and looked in the mirror, then we went out. We talked. We marched. We fought. We stood up for what we saw was the future instead of the perpetual valley of shamefulness. We would take a stand. We were the people.

There was a time were things went down. Where if a war happened when we did not want it, we would stop it. When companies got greedy, we took there power away before anything could happen. When racism was presented, we combated it with love instead of more racism.

These people, who stood by ahead of their time. Who withstood water, dogs and bricks being thrown at their faces. Whose work would never be appreciated until they were old, dieing or dead.

These people:

<lj-embed id="280" />

What ever happened to these people?

Oh yea, I forgot. TV did. Rappers did. Oprah did. Jay-Z did. Reverse Racism did. Afrocentrism did. Michal Jackson did. R Kelly did. Colin Powell did. Al Sharpton did. 50 Cent did. BET did. Spike Lee did.

Bullshit did.

We did.

Nobody deserves this, none of us deserve this. We failed our ancestors.

We started off with a dream...but it takes more than that. It takes people to make dreams a reality. I am willing...are you?

<lj-embed id="281" />

-- Jordan

Lulz Part Two Episode 0/1

You know what is amusing to me?

<lj-embed id="279" />

Finding drunken YouTube videos of people that I went to High School with.

Anyhow, yesterday was a mixed bag. I go to stay home and watch TV so that was fun. The bad side is that I had to stay home because the pizza I had the night before gave me mild-food posioning and I woke up like I was going to die. I am way better now but I still feel like I have a gyro in my stomach and I keep on coughing.

Lost of reading work for class on Wednesday.

I am still very conflicted, back and forth of trying to attend the concert in NYC. My two favorite industrial synth with hot women singing will be there, however there are some things I do not look forwards too. One is the security because you have to be 18+ to enter. Now, the good news I that I did ordered my passport. It cost me a bunch, the people were rude and I have to wait forever but in a few more weeks I should get it. That means I can not only travel outside of the country in a few years like I want but I can have real photo ID until I pass that damn test. Problem is I would not have it to try to get in the Pyramid that the concert is playing at.

The other is that I do not want to encounter another potential "WOW YOUR A BROWN GUY IN A BUTTON-DOWN SHIRT! I THOUGHT ALL PEOPLE WHO LIKE INDUSTRIAL WERE ALL MUTANT WHITE GUYS WITH COLORED HAIR, TATS AND PIERCINGS! SHOULD YOU NOT LIKE RAP OR CHAMBER MUSIC?" situation. Meh.

Going to lie down now again. For everyone asking me for photos, I am still shifting through a billion of them on top of my schedule and if all goes well I will get my card back today that has six months worth's of lost photos to post.

-- Jordan

Things and Other Things.

I went to the IGDA NJ Picnic (I missed the demo show apparantly) and I had fun. There were less people than I thought there would be, but there was ton of food that later rotted in the sun and I played awesome games I never heard of before. At the next 2600 Meeting, I am forcing everyone to play a game of Fluxx! :3

Oh, and I have good news on that missing SD Card. Like I thought, dude was totally clueless that he could have an SD Card in his Wii and we exchanged contact info. When I go into the city to meet Matt on Monday, I can go and pick it up at his place. So it seems that my pictures are saved!

Depending on how we work this out, we may switch from the awesome but more taxing Clef game to a simple arcade game about a dude on a skateboard. Should be fun but I have to talk to him about it.

I am about to install Firefox on this bitchin' 500 gig external drive and change my scheduel on my website. Go check it out in a few hours to see new content as well as new stuff I am doing this month date wise.

Trick Smokes are going slow but surely. I know exactly what I want and what I genrally need to do to construct them. I am going to order my materials next week and once I get them I will be in the testing phase. I also must find a sutable location around here that will not disturb people with all the noise, since I do not have a pyro licence...and I look like Alah Kah Boom I do not want the fuzz on me again.

War with Facebook starts tomarrow. Oh, and for the next 2600 for my closest friend their...I have a hack that could potentially be one of the biggest hacks in five years if pulled off correctly.

The Main thing I have been working on right now (besides finding a damn job) is my Furry Zine that I want to put out: Furry Confidential. I am going to register the domain soon and I have pretty much outlined what I want to do.

It is going to be a Furry Magazine that is more focus on the activities and perspectives on the Fandom as well as the effects and reactions the Fandom has to the world we live in. Sure, I am going to have about ten pictures and some will be pornographic, but the focus (like recent Playboy issues) will be on the actual articles inside the magazine.

So for the structure should and will go like this...

-- Cover: Looks like a secret document menella folder. Has our name stamped on and a Drawing or Photos seemingly stapled onto it as our cover art.

-- Inside Front Cover: A clean version of the cover. Either the drawing in black and white or the photo in black and white without the shopped in effects.

-- Index of Magazine.

-- For Your Eyes Only: Intro to that issue's magazine.

-- Articles from people. Stuff I would like to see is one on how to manufacture fur suits, or even about fursuiting on a daily basis. Character creation and writing. Political views of the current world, rants, ect. Spiritual views on the Furry Fandom. Perspective of mature baby furs. Interviews with various furries. Reports on the activites in MUD's and/or Second Life. Writeups on current cons in that issue's quarter. Reports and persepectives on various fads in the fandom. Artist tips on how to draw furries. Short stories or on going fiction, maybe a storified log of RP. Ect. Ect. Ect. Some articles exclusive to print edition.

-- Around the Bulb: My own ongoing article on a particular issue of my life and the world in that quarter.

-- Furry Underground: Put right in the middle of the staple fold is a two sides calender for the months on that quarter. It has two months on the outside, then one month and an small artwork/photo on the inside. It list the dates of all the furry cons, furry meets, internet shows, events and stuff in the fandom. Since it is in the center, it is designed to be ripped out and used like a mini desk calender or hung on a wall. Only in the print version.

-- Visual Contraband: Our 4-10 images ranging from playfull scenes to epic battles, to tender momemnts to full on yiffy pleasure. Some images only in the print version.

-- Stealth Communications: Our letters page where people send us questions and comments and I (or the staff) answers them to the best of our ability. Only in the print version.

-- Furry Black Market: Our marketplace where people can sell their stuff or advertise their own personal venues. Only people who subscribe to our print can advertise here. Only in the print version.

-- Agent Dosser: The staff page with credits and shout outs.

-- Back Cover Inside: -- Our games section where we have a few print games to play, such as RPG mini-lists or print games to play. I am working on a game called MadLibs Live! where people send in their libs and in the next issue those libs are chosen at random to complete the story. I am also working on a Furry version of Sudoku.

-- Back Cover: A few comic strips. If no one is going to do a political comic featuring furries, then I can do that one myself.

So that is how I have broken it down so far. I want this magazine to be 45-60 pages long hopefully.

I do not need artist for the Contraband section, I have a ton of friends who want to do centrpeices and covers. However, I do need everything else. I need people who can do comic strips/stories for the back. I need people who can write an article and a story or two for each issue. It does not have to be a feature thing, but if you are interested in doing ongoing features please talk to me. Finally, I also need people to help me with the proccess and sponcering/promote this magazine.

Hence why I have no plans for it to be release until Jan next year.

*phew*

-- Jordan
